  • Many beautiful pictures are made of barn owls in old barns, but I prefer to paint owls without using lamps and flashes. Using natural light for night and twilight animals is not easy for photographers, filmmakers and painters, however, and it took a while before I got hold of the cool, blue evening light as I had it in mind.  This barn owl has just woken up and only needs to stretch his wings before the hunting begins..
