‘Hunting practice’

  • 'Hunting practice', stoat family, wildlife art painting Jeroen Verhoeff

  • Yellow rattler, red clover, bramble and plantain are blooming when suddenly five stoats appear from the edge of the wood. It is a mother taking her young out for hunting practice. This might be the last time because they are almost big enough to take care of themselves. Stoats are so incredibly quick and lively, most often you will only see glimpses of them. That is why I have tried to freeze them here, just to be able to watch their incredible beauty at ease.
