‘Three brothers’

  • At the edge of a dark Norwegian spruce forest, three wolves are staring at possible prey. They estimate their chances in the soft golden light of the almost setting sun. Is it worth going after or do they look too healthy and vital and is it therefore not worth the effort? It’s fantastic that wolves in Europe are doing relatively well lately; in more and more countries where we eradicated them centuries ago, they are popping up again and the wolf has never been so popular with the public. The question is how permanent this situation will turn out to be. In some countries, they are already being shot again and they remain potentially dangerous for humans, even though that is systematically denied. But they belong here in Europe, so as far as I’m concerned they are very welcome!
