- Knots, oystercatchers and turnstones wait for the tide to turn. Most of them sleep for short periods, knowing that in such a large group there will always be a few open eyes to watch out for danger. This painting was an experiment, especially in terms of color and composition. My idea was to create something reminiscent of a Persian carpet.
