- A very long time ago I was crossing a very stormy North Atlantic in a small fishing boat. To fight boredom I used to sit at the bough, scanning the waves for dolphins. That is kind off hard though, in such rough weather. What I did see from time to time though, were lonely puffins that always quickly dived under, just a foot or so from our ship. Tough little birds they are, all alone in the middle of the ocean. This one is floating in calmer waters.
